Celebrating 20 beautiful years!
It’s not every day you celebrate a big anniversary, so it’s best to do it in style. We recently hosted a glamorous champagne reception to celebrate 20 years of jane iredale mineral make-up, at London’s prestigious Dorchester hotel no less! Guests included Jane Iredale herself, who flew in specially from the States to join in the celebrations.
The exciting live final of our National Student Makeup Competition also took place at the reception. This year’s theme was ‘Music Videos Throughout the Ages’ and we received hundreds of high-calibre entries. Our six talented finalists were whisked away to London to spend two days at our stunning head office honing their skills, and they then re-created their look in front of a celebrity judging panel headed up by Jane Iredale.
The winning entry came from Joanna Davies of University College Birmingham, who was inspired by Freddie Mercury’s costume festooned with multiple eyes and feathers in Queen’s ‘It’s A Hard Life’ video.
First runner-up Kayleigh Brown, from Glasgow Clyde College developed a poison ivy theme, based on Alice Cooper’s Poison video, which showcased her blending skills.
Second runner-up Jenny Louise Owen, also from the Birmingham college, re-created Robbie William’s ‘muscle exposure’ in his I Don’t Wanna Rock video.
Congratulations to all our winners and here’s to another 20 beautiful years!
