Colour is the new black: mascara wardrobing

Mayah: I’m all about the bright blues too, but for something a little less obvious this underrated gem from Jane Iredale is just the ticket. Sometimes when it comes to fun colours in clean beauty you end up compromising on the overall performance, but here it’s definitely not the case. Aside from the level of pigment being just right, the bonus is lengthening and lash separation you just can’t argue with (any smudging you see in the pic is my lazy application!). Day, night, party or office, this is one lash colour that’s versatile enough to add a touch of cool without..."

Apply with a fan brush to pick up specific shades as a highlight, or dust over the high points of the face and décolletage with a big fluffy brush to add radiance – you can also use on the eyes as shadows..."

Clean Beauty Co BloggersMake-up collaboration

“Tabby was interested in becoming more familiar with more organic and ethical brands and obviously the girls from clean beauty co would only want clean cosmetics! We thought it would be fun to give them both a makeover using only natural, clean and cruelty free make up to see how it matched up to the more mainstream brands, here's how we got on... We started off by being invited to visit the Jane Iredale @janeiredale_uk team to really get to know how to get best out of their product. It was a super fun day and they were so helpful knowledgeable and informative, they could answer every question we threw at them (and there were ALOT) about the ingredients/ethics/cruelty free policies etc... they were incredibly open and honest which is so refreshing!..."

sun careCruelty free sun care ft. jane iredale

“Today I’m going to be talking about my two favourite brands when it comes to holiday makeup: jane iredale is a must. #Itonlytakesaminute with their cruelty-free sun care products. I love jane iredale's mineral products because during the summer my skin gets really oily and so it’s important to me to use non-comedogenic products which aren’t going to block the pores and cause breakouts."

The journey began with fantastic brand called jane iredale. We were invited to the IIAA, aka jane iredale HQ for a little low down on all things make-up… As professional makeup artist ourselves, Claire and I were keen to test out a day and night look on the Clean Co girls to really put these natural brands to the test. It wasn’t as challenging as I thought it would be as the products did work very well…”

My favourite daily sun protection

Jane Iredale Powder-Me Dry Sunscreen SPF30 - This is a great find, and one that may transform your beauty routine. It’s a translucent powder (it also comes in Golden and Tanned) that can be applied on your face, body and scalp to give you dry sun protection. It couldn’t be easier: the container has a foam sponge attached to it and you just shake it lightly and then press it onto the area you want to protect. It can be applied over your make-up or on moisturised skin to give it a finishing touch. The top of the lid has a mirror so you can ensure you haven’t missed any bits. It’s ideal to take in your handbag or in your hand luggage when travelling as it won’t spill or leak, and being a powder it can be taken safely through customs…”

5 Reasons to LOVE this lip balm

27 July 2016

Lipdrink: 1. The colour: it’s soft and subtle and looks completely natural, just your lips on a better day, 2. The scent: as you apply it you will smell the uplifting scent of the zest of a lemon being crushed into your lips. 3. The fact that this product is completely cruelty free, vegan and gluten free – so it’s a little stick of goodness. 4. The ingredients: natural oils including avocado, carrot seed and lemon peel to name but a few. 5. The texture: it’s so intensely moisturising that it literally glides on and protects you from the sun for softer, more kissable lips.”

A lovely organic facial and 5 mins with Purely Green Beauty

MUA Louise Darford gets the low-down on what’s inside Purely Green Beauty’s make-up bag:I like to keep a small multi-functional make up/skincare bag as I’m on the move quite a lot (with a huge kit) and so I mix and match with the following depending on the occasion – Jane Iredale – Pure Lash Mascara, ‘Golden shimmer’ Face and Body Lotion, ‘Great Shape’ Brow Kit in Brunette, ’Chemistry’ and ‘Clarity’ Cream Blusher…”

My skin happiness – make-up

“Since then I have been using… jane iredale make-up. I have noticed a huge different in my skin despite still getting some breakouts. Jane Iredale was the first woman to supply the industry with a line of makeup that actually had benefits for our skin. She was inspired to create makeup that is good for the entertainment industry, as mentioned in my ‘problem skin’ post this is great for me as a dancer having to apply makeup often for events and shows. Beauty really is about being yourself and this makeup is designed to enhance YOUR OWN natural beauty…”
