Skin Angels launch ‘Porcelain’ to support sun-safe campaign
Purity Boutique Spa in Exeter has created a song aimed at inspiring young people to look after their skin, including protecting it from potential sun damage.
The song, called ‘Porcelain’, has been written by Clara Bond, a talented young Devon singer-songwriter, who is an ambassador for the spa’s ‘Skin Angels’ educational campaign. It includes the lines “She’s got skin like porcelain. She don’t need a tan to be a ten.” in the chorus.
Spa owner Mariam Badavi told iiaa that BBC TV’s Spotlight programme would be filming Clara and the Skin Angels on 11th May, at one of the schools that the team will be visiting to spread their healthy skin and sun care messages. The Skin Angels recommend that people use Environ®’s vitamin-based sunscreen for the ideal approach to sun protection.
Clara comments: “I really believe you don’t need a tan to be beautiful. Having healthy skin is much more important and I hope Porcelain conveys that message to people.”
Skin Angel’s passionate founder, spa owner Mariam Badavi, comments: “It is great to have an inspiring person like Clara supporting Skin Angels. We plan to promote it throughout the year to keep reminding people that it is important to look after their skin.”
Porcelain is available to download for just 79 pence on iTunes now and the video will be on YouTube from the beginning of May. All profits will go to the charity Teenage Cancer Trust.
A further video, linked to the song, includes Mariam speaking about how Environ® helps keep skin safer in the sun, along with her fellow Skin Angels ambassadors Clara and Carl Rimmer from the Exeter Chiefs Rugby team.
Please support their fantastic fund-raising campaign by downloading this very catchy little tune and spreading the word!
